Earl

Lestz

Plymouth Rock Studios' Master Planning Director is the former President of Paramount Studio Groups in Los Angeles where he led Paramount's studio operations for over 20 years.  He reported to industry legends Michael Eisner, Barry Diller, Frank Mancuso, and Sherry Lansing.  Earl was responsible for transforming Paramount's studio operations and facilities from a low service $5 million per year loss leader into a high service $50 million per year operating gem. He developed over 500,000 square feet of new facilities on the Paramount lot, updated 10 sound stages to attract television productions such as Entertainment Tonight and Dr. Phil, and expanded the post editing capacity of Paramount five-fold during his tenure.

Earl was instrumental in developing the first studio child care center. He is  Vice Chairman of the Hollywood Historic Trust and Walk of Fame Committee, on the Board of Directors of the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital  and is the former Chairman  of Goodwill Industries
of Southern California.

 

 

David

Kirkpatrick

David is the former President of Paramount Pictures where he worked for over 17 years, starting there as the studio's story editor. He is also the first person ever in the motion picture industry to hold two studio production chief jobs simultaneously when he ran both Walt Disney Studios and Touchstone Studios. As a motion picture executive, David has overseen some 200 movies including Forrest Gump, Top Gun , The Firm, Ghost, Witness, Ordinary People, Hunt For Red October, Terms Of Endearment, Dead Poet's Society, Elephant Man, An Officer And A Gentleman, Reds and Little Mermaid. He also was responsible for such successful franchises as the Indiana Jones, and the Star Trek series.

 

In the 1980s, David also oversaw the most successful exclusive arrangement with an actor and a studio in the last 50 years with Eddie Murphy. As the responsible executive for Eddie Murphy, David oversaw such early classics as 48 Hours, Beverly Hills Cop I & II, Trading Places, and Coming to America. The pictures on which Mr. Kirkpatrick worked have a collective worldwide box office gross of over 10 billion dollars; and have garnered close to 400 Academy nominations and 163 Academy wins.

 

As a producer, David has been the recipient of the Golden Globe, The Emmy, and The Independent Spirit award, is a member of the Producer's Guild of America and an active member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

 

 

Thom

Black

In 1989, Black founded the InGenius Center to provide people with a deeper understanding of their unique talents and skills and how to more effectively use their talents in the workplace. He has worked at the executive suite level developing people strategies with such companies as Hewlett Packard, Home Savings of America, Discover Card, Harris Bank, Pharmacia, Advanta Mortgage, All-State, Sears, Hewitt Associates, Price Waterhouse, Rush Medical Center, Arthur Anderson, Motorola, Nalco, The Chicago Bears, HomeBanc, Mannatech and ServiceMaster.

Formerly, Thom was the executive pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in suburban Chicago, one of the largest churches in the United States.

He is the author of several books, all of which champion the notion of individual uniqueness including 30 Days to a Smart Family, 55 Waverly Street, Born to Fly, Kicking Your Kid Out of the Nest, They Call Me Mr. Romance, and Inside the Zone at Pharmacia. Thom has been a regular guest on TV and radio programs around the United States and his one-man theatrical presentation, The MOMENT, has been seen by more than 350,000 people across the country.

 

 

Joseph G.

DiLorenzo

Prior to joining Plymouth Rock Studios, Joe was the co-founder and manager of M/D Group LLC, a corporate strategy and business development consulting firm located in the Boston area. For more than eighteen years he worked with the Boston Celtics, primarily as Chief Financial Officer or Senior Vice President of Administration, including roles that helped take the Boston Celtics public on the New York Stock Exchange, as well as the acquisition and construction of Fox station Channel 25, the concept and construction of the world class The Sports Authority Training Center and the acquisition of radio station WEEI, respectively, while in those capacities.

Prior to the Celtics experience, Mr. DiLorenzo had leadership roles with the Boston Garden/Boston Bruins organization for eleven years. After leaving the Celtics, Mr. DiLorenzo was Vice President of Strategic Alliances and later Chief Financial Officer of a leading provider of an enterprise infrastructure software and solutions company, specifically designed and engineered to meet the unique requirements of the higher education marketplace.

He graduated from Bentley College with a degree in Accounting and is a two-term past-President, and an officer or director of the Executive Board of the Bentley College Alumni Association since 1992.

Mr. DiLorenzo has many other volunteer roles including the Financial Executives International (FEI), where he is Vice Chairman and is Chairman of its Diversity Task force. The FEI, founded in 1931, is an international organization of 15,000 senior financial executives from 8,000 companies, mostly in North America. Mr. DiLorenzo has been past- President of the FEI Boston Chapter, the Treasurers Club of Boston and Community Work Service, respectively and still active in each. He is a member of the Greater Boston Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. He also has or had various advisory or audit committee roles at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, New England Baptist Hospital and Franciscan Hospital for Children.

 

Martha

Cotton

Martha Cotton broke in as an investigative producer at the NBC affiliate in Miami, covering the drug wars, the influx of Cuban and Haitian refugees, and the conflicts in Central America. Martha won several Emmys as well as a Columbia DuPont Award and the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation Award during her time in Florida.

NBC News hired Cotton and brought her to work in the Los Angeles bureau, where she worked for NBC Nightly News and the Today Show. Her work took her around the world covering wars, disasters, politics and the Olympics continuing to earn the praise of her colleagues with yet another Columbia DuPont, a Chicago Film Festival Award, and several Emmy nominations.

As either a network staff or freelance documentary producer/director, Martha has worked in such far-flung places as Pakistan and Afghanistan, Cambodia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, and the Philippines. She transitioned to the world of drama as a consultant on Up Close and Personal, a movie set in the world of TV news. That film led to Volcano, where Martha produced, wrote, cast and directed all the news elements in the film. She served as either a first unit video producer/director or consultant on other films, such as Deep Impact, Enemy of the State, and The Negotiator, as well as an NBC pilot about the TV news business.

Martha was selected as one of eight participants in the American Film Institute's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. The short film she directed, Glory Girl (produced with generous support from Dreamworks), won her critical recognition, including an award for creative excellence at Telluride Indiefest.

She was recently hand-picked as one of 12 promising minority director fellows by the Directors Guild of America Single Camera Directors Program, in cooperation with the ABC, NBC, and CBS and Fox entertainment divisions.
